A dam was recently built to flood the area and allow O'Neal Lake to reform.
How I Got the Shot: If only I could show pictures of the road I had to drive on to get to this very remote lake! The 1-mile long dirt road was barely wide enough for the truck and on either side of it were sheer drop offs into a valley of tall trees, not to mention the very steep grades (so steep that all I could see was the sky at times) and curves as sharp as hairpins. Thankfully, I got to the lake just in time for some clouds to form and create this scene. The hair-raising drive in and out was well worth it.
