How I Got this Shot: While visiting Iowa, I spent a lot of time driving through the farm country looking for scenes to capture.This area is known as the driftless area, because glaciers did not overtake it and flatten the land, like in the western part of the state. Consequently, the land is designed with rolling hills, numerous rivers and steep bluffs speckled with waterfalls and caves. One morning, I noticed fog laying heavy over the ground before sunrise. I drove 3 miles to a lookout point I had found earlier and set up to take several images like this one.
